Job description

Transport Investigations Limited are looking to recruit enthusiastic and hard-working Customer Service Assistants (CSAs) for weekend work for various transport clients.

The Role:

Applicants must be resilient and have a good knowledge of London Transport as well as possessing excellent communication skills.

Transport Investigations is a leading provider of services in the railway industry, including revenue protection, customer information and consultancy. As well as advising train operating companies on a range of issues, we also provide teams of proactive and well-informed staff to advise and direct customers at times of disruption. In all our activities we strive to support others in getting to where they need to be, in the most appropriate way.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the public face of Train Operating Companies, working with the station staff to assist customers with their journeys.


Nature of Work:

  • Giving information and assistance to customers

  • Working alongside station staff.

  • May involve working alongside bus company officials (bus controllers and bus drivers)

  • Outdoor work is required. CSA's may have to work in inclement weather and be able to stand up for long periods of time.


Patterns of Work:

  • Casual work, offered on an as and when basis

  • Shift work is required

Who should apply:

  • Applicants should be strong communicators who have a good understanding of London's transport system.

  • Applicants should be able to work outside in all weathers and be able to work shifts that could be anywhere in Greater London and which may start very early in the morning or end very late at night.

  • We look for people who are proactive, thorough, engaging and able to look beyond the obvious when giving advice.

  • This is a role that may be fitted alongside other work and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
