Merchandise Administrator / Buyers Assistant

Maternity cover contract - up to 1 year

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take their first step into a Buying career. As a Merchandise Administrator / Buyers Assistant, you will work closely with the Buyers, assisting at all stages of the buying process from concept to consumer. Working in a fast paced environment, you will need energy, enthusiasm and ambition.

It is essential that you have excellent communication skills, plenty of common sense and the ability to work on your own initiative. This role would suit someone with a desire to pursue a career in Buying who is willing to work their way up and gain a fantastic insight into the process. It will be necessary to have drive and enthusiasm with the confidence to deal with people at all levels both internally and externally. You will be a confident user of MS Office applications, a quick learner and have the ability to work well as a team. It is essential that you can work well under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and your sense of humour. Previous office / admin experience would be an advantage as would and understanding of the retail environment.
