Job description
Title - IT Support Specialist
Job purpose:
To successfully manage, train and support the installation of 'on-site’ Wifi in a Box solutions to ensure client & user availability at all times for effective delivery of the event. To support the internal IT 'helpdesk’ activities for both office based and 'on-site’ teams to include IT build of equipment as and when required. To manage and maintain equipment logs and assets, IT training (to include inductions) and training materials along with the preparation of IT policy documentation. To build and develop strong relationships with all integrated service teams and third parties on an ongoing basis.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Provide Wifi in a Box solution (and associated) equipment specifications to Compliance Officer to ensure sufficient equipment insurance in place at all times
- Provide complex technical support to resolve Wifi in a Box solutions activation / set up, configuration and usability in the required location
- Training of all personnel in relation to use of Wifi in a Box solutions
- Identify, troubleshoot, both pre-event and on-site, resolve all Wifi in a Box technical and non-technical end user queries and issues quickly and effectively to ensure user availability at all times
- Management and maintenance resolution of all Wifi in a Box equipment items
- Liaise with IT provider to provide effective general IT Helpdesk’ support to the business as required, both office and on-site
- Preparation and upkeep of all IT Policies (both internal and on-site provision) ensuring storage onto company drives
- Ability to work under minimal supervision to resolve any issues and provide support as required
- Assistance in the preparation, creation and updating of all company and client apps, website builds, Twitter/Face-book/Linked-in and any other social media requirements. Research and develop new interactive technology, like Blippar etc.
- Ideally with experience of portals such as Cvent / Starcite / eTouches - ability to train as appropriate
Skills and experience:
- A minimum of 2 year's experience in mobile Wifi solution support
- A minimum of 2 year's experience in a general IT 'help desk’ support arena
- Knowledge and experience of website management and building of company 'apps’
- Ability to prepare training plans and deliver training in relation to mobile Wifi and general IT 'help desk’ requirements
- Knowledge and experience in writing IT related policy and procedures
- Proficient in the use of both MAC & PC
- Excellent interpersonal, written & verbal communications skills
Qualifications:

Ideally a Graduate Certificate in a related IT or Website Building arena

Knowledge of HTML 5, CSS, Adobe Creative Suite software
