Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Total Media Publisher team are responsible for the planning and buying of both print specific and cross-platform media advertising campaigns across publisher titles, websites and mobile platforms (Newsbrands, local press, magazines etc), with close involvement with the digital and other media teams to deliver integrated plans. The Intern role is central to the team, being responsible for supporting the team with the planning and buying across a range of clients and ensuring that effective media solutions are provided.

Planning
•Contributing imaginative , creative and innovative ideas to the planning process
•Researching media opportunities (media landscape, media overviews, media partnerships)
•Good understanding of what a publisher plan looks like and means, leading to the ability to transfer client plans to bookings
•Adopting and utilising the agencies positioning as the Behavioural Planning agency

Clients
•Building relationships with clients, gaining understanding of clients’ businesses, business issues, marketing and media objectives
•Your primary clients will be Fred Olsen and Epson who are dynamic, data led clients that have ambitious sales targets

Buying and negotiation
•Assisting team with media planning, buying and campaign administration
•Liaising with media owners to aid negotiations and buy media space
•Developing sound knowledge of a wide range of media markets, enabling informed conversations with media owners regarding print, digital and mobile campaigns

Total Media contribution
•Working as part of the publisher and larger Total Media teams
•Make significant contributions to internal meetings and brainstorms
•Creation of media updates and industry thought pieces

INTERVIEW PROCESS

The interview process adopts a two-stage interview where you will be required to take a numeracy and verbal test if you are joining as a graduate or an intern. Desired profile

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

•Educated to degree level (preferable but not essential)
•Enthusiasm for the media industry with a strong understanding of the digital landscape
•Computer literate
•Ability to handle several projects at once and prioritise effectively
•Strong numeracy skills- able to interpret and manipulate basic data
