Job Description
As a LPG Shipping Operator you will be closely working with the traders / charterers and cargos operators. You will be responsible of executing efficient handling of transactions, with timely and accurate administration and data entry, directly contributing to maximize the traders’ P&L. Based in Geneva, you will be part of the LPG Trading Desk and will be reporting to the LPG Trading General Manager
Within the desk, 2 Shipping Operators are in charge of managing a time charter fleet of 10 vessels and spot chartered vessels, ranging from VLGC to coasters. The desk activity generates about 300 voyages per year to carry close to 4M tons of LPG.
You will also be in contact with ship owners, technical ship managers, vessel masters, brokers and port agents.
Key responsibilities
You will be in charge of post-fixture management and all aspects of voyage operations for the vessels chartered which consist in:

Managing the voyage operations from the loading to the discharging port in the most efficient way

Issuing voyage orders, instructing masters, appointing shipping agents, etc…
·
Checking and negotiating the charter parties terms with the assistance of the legal dept
·
Estimating freight cost
·
Calculating final voyage cost for time charter vessels
·
Optimizing and ordering bunkers for the time charter fleet in coordination with the bunker purchase dept
·
Checking freight calculations and invoices and ensure consistency with the book reporting

Candidate profile

You have a Maritime Degree and have already gained a first experience as Officer on board tanker. An experience on board a LPG carrier will be considered as an advantage.

A Master Degree in Maritime and Logistic Operations with an experience as Shipping Operator will also be considered.
·
You developed a very good grasp of coordination, a good commercial instinct, and a solution-oriented attitude, which allowed you to resolve, with determination and agility, any unplanned events.
·
Curious and eager to learn fast, your analytical skills and considerable rigor are at the root of your performance. You must also be digitally savvy to be able to quickly master our range of IT tools.

Your collaborative mind-set and communication skills - in English and in French - must be second-to-none to allow you to be successful in your missions.

Your ability to make decisions under pressure and to manage deadlines will help you to thrive in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment
