Job Description

The Logistics Team is looking for a Project Engineer to join their team.

As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for the following activities:

Depot Construction and Engineering:

·        You will conduct project feasibility studies for engineering and construction projects; preparing documentation, drawings and recommendation for execution of project.

·        Submit and obtain local authorities required approvals and prepare and obtain approval for MOC documentations.

·        Guide the draughtsman or consultants in preparation of the construction drawings.

·        Participate in negotiation supply of equipment and engineering contracts with the service providers, in collaboration with the purchasing division.

·        Plan, organise, control and execute field construction activities, within given time and budget. This includes applicable compilation/approvals for internal Purchasing and Payment processes.

·        You will be responsible for incorporation of local legislation requirements, Group standards and best practices to all engineering and construction projects.

·        Ensure use of the PPO Project Management tool for Project Management, Document Repository, and Management Reporting.

·        Ensure all data that is added or uploaded is in compliance with the System Health and Governance rules (set up within PPO), thereby allowing accurate monitoring of Projects and Reporting especially concerning Scope Change and Cost changes.

·        Ensure that Assets for all completed projects are added to the asset register and demolished Assets are also removed from the asset register. Data Packs and Safety file handed over to the site on completion of the work.

·        Provide Technical support to Logistics Maintenance Manager and Depot Managers on Maintenance issues.

 

HSEQ and Technical

·  Ensure all contractors adheres to all legislated and company HSEQ requirements

Candidate profile

·  You have a BSc or BTech in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, with a minimum of 3 years general experience in the oil industry.
·  Experience in Project Management for Engineering Projects – Turnkey
·  Technical experience with regards to understanding and applying technical expertise

The team will appreciate your high level of problem-solving ability, negotiating skills, tenacity and your ability to challenge and identify problems.

·        You will be responsible for the management of allocated projects with the external resources such as contractors, suppliers of equipment, consultants and approvals and inspections by the local authorities.
