Description du poste
One of the challenges of today petroleum industry is to produce reserves located in deep offshore reservoirs. In order to be able to produce hydrocarbons from very high depths and to increase process efficiency, more and more process equipments are installed on the seabed.
Lots of efforts have been done to develop boosting equipment, particularly MultiPhase pumps. One of the major parameters determining the boosting capacity is the gas fraction and one remaining question is how much mass transfer from gas to liquid occurs during booting operations and if this transfer affects the equipment efficiency.
The objective of this internship is to predict this mass transfer from a thermodynamical point of view, using different types of fluids, gas, condensate or crude oils and equipment, multiphase pumps and compressors. Fluids studied will include hydrocarbons produced today where boosting equipments are installed and fluids expected to be produced in future projects and developments. During this internship, you will be hosted in an R&D team and you will evolve in a pluridisciplinary context, being in contact with R&D, rotating equipments and fluids PVT specialists. You will use a Total internal developed PVT software.
