Job Description

Within the Refining & Chemical Branch of TOTAL , Total Olefins Antwerp and its cracker represent a major part of the integrated complex of the group Total in Antwerp , together with the Total Antwerp Refinery and the polyethylene plant.

The Antwerp Platform is looking for a JUNIOR LEAD BUYER (M/F/X) .
If you are dynamic, interested in negotiations, launching & managing tenders and managing commercially associated contracts, this job can be yours!

Your Missions are:
·  You organise and control all process-based activities relating to a designated portfolio of contract including overall strategy review, pre-qualifications, tender list development, issue tenders, analysis of tenders, contract and commercial negotiations and the preparation of contractual documentation up to finalisation.
·  You proactively work with relevant internal technical stakeholders to build and maintain relationships with contractors/suppliers and monitor their performance by participating in contract performance management activities.
·  You actively contribute to the saving program by delivery of costs savings without compromising safety.
·  You search and utilize , Market intelligence information, suppliers’ qualifications.
·  You analyse and have the knowledge of internal and external costs and cost structures. You develop Cost Models, target costs.
·  You contribute to the process of continuous improvement , including participation in and promotion of Lean initiatives when required and adoption and sharing of best practice.

Candidate profile

·  You have a degree in Commercial Engineering . A first experience is a plus.
·  You can collaborate cross‐functionally with other departments in a dynamic business environment.
·  You can challenge others in a constructive manner and negotiate with internal peers and other stakeholder representatives to influence decisions or ways of working.
·  You are rigorous and stress resistant.
·  You are fluent in both Dutch and English , French is a plus.
