We are offering an exciting 6-months internship opportunity within a dynamic team: the LNG Physical Trading team based in Geneva.
We would be looking for a multifaceted individual that can grow and learn within a trading environment and become the link between the traders and Middle Office and Back Office. Responsible for drafting the contract once a trade is concluded with our customers. It is an outstanding experience to immerse yourself in the trading world!

The global activities of the Gas & Power Branch of Total SA, and its affiliates, subsidiaries and associated companies (“Total Gas & Power”, "Group" or "Total Group") include the marketing and trading of natural gas, liquefied natural gas ("LNG") and power, the trading of liquefied petroleum gas ("LPG"), natural gas transportation and storage, as well as LNG re-gasification.
Total Gas & Power’s trading teams are responsible for optimising the purchase/sales portfolios of gas, electricity and LPG via transactions (arbitrage, balancing and hedging) in all recognised markets, in compliance with Group trading guidelines.

Candidate profile
· You are currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Economy, Finance, Engineering or similar field and are in your final year of study
· You are passionate about commodities trading and you have a strong interest to understand how the dynamic of the market work
· You are analytical, detail oriented with good communication and stakeholder management skills.
· You have an eye for business and demonstrate an entrepreneurial mind-set.
· You are proactive, innovative and driven by achievement
· You are proficient in English

Context and environment
The Total Gas & Power Limited LNG portfolio consists of more than 400 cargoes a year; long term supply contracts represent more than 20 Mtpa, which are the basis for the development of the LNG spot trading.
The growth of TGPL activity is in line with the rapid development in the world LNG industry, where LNG increasingly is a means for oil and gas companies to monetise and book gas reserves.
There is a significant international dimension, including interaction with suppliers in Nigeria, Trinidad, Russia and Qatar; and customers in Europe (Spain, France, UK), in America (Mexico, USA) and Asia (India, China, Japan,…).
Key responsibilities :
· Constant interaction with the traders to understand the dynamics of the market and trades.
· Fluent relationship with internal groups (shipping, Middle Office, Back Office, Credit..)
· Contribution to the execution of Confirmation Notices.
· Collaborate with Singapore and Houston offices.
· Identifying flexibilities within existing long-term contracts.
· Operating to the highest standards of compliance, safety, ethics and business excellence
