Job Description
· Take part in the design, implementation, development. and support of the overall IT security environment
· Give the Gas and Power Trading division the means to protect its information system against identified IT risks, whilst maintaining a good level of communication required for the activities of professional disciplines
Reports to the IT Infrastructure Manager, working under the Local Security Officer as part of the Network & Security Team.
Recurring support
· Responsible for the day to day administration and 24/7/365 support of the IT Security environment in accordance with Security policies
· Providing technical assistance to the Network & Telecommunications Team - Part of the 24/7/365 IT rota providing general IT support to the Business
· Develop & Support Overall Strategy for Security within IT Infrastructure – Analyze risks and vulnerabilities of the perimeter.
· Perform regular security reviews and audits on key security equipment and ensure implementation of recommendations
· Monitor & control performance and availability of the IT security environment and provide regular reviews and reports
· Provide documentation related to changes & evolutions on the systems, and keep procedures of administration of IT Security solutions up to date
· Ensure BCP and DRP compliance for security environments
· Developing new alerts, log correlation & dashboards to expose weaknesses. Alert Superiors and the Branch in the event of a real or potential high-risk situation.
Projects (Main activities)
· Take part in defining the local policies, architectures and tools related to IT Security, and in their implementation
· Select, deploy & maintain security tools & devices with/without assistance of external suppliers
· Provide advice in accordance with TGP security policies and Group guidelines/directives for all IT projects including other IT teams and departments
· Monitor advancements in information security technologies and changes in regulation/legislation and accreditation standards that affect information security Promote technology awareness in security, evaluate and recommend new products/solutions to IT Management

Candidate profile
General
· Master degree in computing and 5+ years of IT experience within the security and networking field
· Good overall technical knowledge of Information Technology & knowledge and experience of Information Security best practices
· Demonstrable commercial experience in an IT Security Engineer position, with focus on Network Infrastructure
· Good understanding of the Energy Trading business and constraints Personal skills
· Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
· Good communication skills and proven ability to work effectively within a team
· Good organisation and planning abilities, ability to identify deadlines and ability to work under pressure Technical skills
· Proven knowledge in Cyber Security, vulnerability management, SIEM (QRadar), PKI and computer forensic tools.
· Hands-On IT Experience within some Security Technologies (ie. firewall configuration, DLP, IDS / IPR systems)
· Strong knowledge on networking and telecommunications including networking standards and protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP…)
· Cisco switching & routing technologies; Cisco (ASA, SourceFire), Checkpoint and Pulse security solutions
· Strong authentication protocols and technologies (Thycotic, RSA SecurID, Radius)
· Systems Monitoring Solutions and protocols (SNMP, Solarwinds)
· Microsoft Windows and Linux environments, development. skills (Powershell and/or perl/bash scripting)
· Strong understanding and knowledge around Application/Web security
· Security certification like CISSP, GIAC or CCNP Security a plus
