Job Description

·  Manipulate, analyze and present geographical information to support the decision making process of the different Exploration teams; manage regional GIS and carthographic projects; prepare and produce oil & gas maps.
·  Provide high quality GIS and geospatial support to geoscience users.  
·  Guarantee the integrity, availability and reliability of GIS and cartographic data in the hub.
·  Guarantee the information security of the geospatial data in the hub.
·  Execute all sorts of geodetic and topographic computing (coordinates transformation, surfaces computing, etc..)
·  Develop GIS-oriented solutions to provide easy access to the vast amounts of spatial information in the EP industry; develop, implement and manage Web-GIS solutions.
·  Contribute to the continuous improvement of the GIS/cartographic workflow and to the workload organization, while taking into account the deadlines and costs.
·  Organise basic GIS training sessions and workshops to geoscience users in the hub.
·  Contribute to knowledge sharing for HQ IGR, Explo hubs and other affiliates.
·  Follow up of basic data management requests especially during absence of Data Managers, e.g. perform basic G&G data loading in Sismage, Petrel, etc..
·  Guarantee the quality and preservation of the data, in line with internal Geo-Information rules and best practices.

Candidate profile

Diploma :BSc or Msc in Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering, GIS, Geomatics or a related field.
·  Professional experience : 8 to 12 years
·  Very good knowledge of cartographic tools and geodesy.
·  Experience with ESRI GIS software (ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server) and GIS related software.
·  Good understanding and experience in the E&P industry and Geoscience (Exploration oriented is a plus).
·  Competencies in spatial data management, database design and information systems (both Windows and Unix environment)
·  Previous experiences in Geoscience Data Management (e.g. G&G data loading, dataroom preparation, etc.. ) is a plus. Fluency in English required.
