Job Description
· Responsible for running GERA(Mass Balance software) daily ensuring that the overall flows movements are accurate.
· Must continually monitor, initiate and implement recommendations to loss control/operations/technical teams to improve mass balance system.
· Function as LP Engineer by running LP Back casts every month with the assistance of Superintendent - LP/Loss Control/FTZ.
· Utilizes results of the backcast exercise to pinpoint discrepancies in the LP model and works with Modelling group in Paris and TRTG to implement targeted changes in the LP model. Also assists in making the necessary model changes for the Long-Term Plan and Budget official models.
· Performs retro-optimization and “what-if” cases to quantify for Management any lost opportunities on a monthly basis.
· Performs spot economic evaluations to aid in the decision making process for optimizing the refinery due to changes in unit operations and/or product rundown rates and/or logistics.
· Acts as back up to performance control engineer when needed for vacation, leave, etc.

· Bachelor of Science – Chemical Engineering
· Minimum 3+ years of refinery process engineer experience
· Knowledge and understanding of refining operations, process units
· Strong analytical skills; Strong written and oral communication skills
