Company:

Total Care is an outsource service provider to various technological brands, such as Supanet, Tpad and Internexus. It is based at Time Technology Park, Simonstone, Burnley BB12 7TW.

Position summary:

Deal with day to day activities which relate to the operational support of the IT infrastructure. Maintaining the IT systems that allow the business and its various teams and functions to carry out their day to day roles.

Key tasks:

• Patching and securing of the PC and server environment
• Making sure that IT policies are enforced as per the companies IT policies and procedures to ensure the security and continued operation of the IT systems
• Out of hours support i.e. ensures the POP’s and Systems are accessible 24/7 and provide on-call assistance and monitoring where required
• Ticket/fault management and resolution
• PC hardware and peripheral support
• Server hardware x86 and peripheral support
• Desktop Support Windows XP, 7 and 8
• Windows Servers Support - 2003 to 2012
• Windows Domain environment - Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, WINS, File servers, Print Services, VPN, etc.
• Antivirus software
• MS Office Support
• IT Security and Firewalls
• Ethernet Switching and cabling
• MSSQL Databases
• Virtualisation Experience

Requirements

• Excellent communicator
• At least 2 years experience in a IT related role
• Good attention to detail
• Full clean driving license
• Able to work in both a team environment or on their own
• Able to work to tight deadlines
• Methodical approach to troubleshooting
• Graduate or equivalent qualifications in the IT field
• Possible on-call duties to ensure the continued operation of the network and systems.
