What you’ll do:
The Global Solution Delivery Selling & Store Operations Team is responsible for managing Front and Back of Stores solutions within TJX IT. The organization delivers capabilities to the stores that enrich the Customer and Associate experience and provide business value. We seek a motivated, talented, experienced Solution Engineer/Architect to help guide the lifecycle of these capabilities through planning, design and delivery within Workforce Management modernization strategy
In this role you will be responsible for leading the technology associated with the Workforce Management solutions for a cross functional set of North American and European users. Using your Engineering mindset, you will help deliver solutions to our rapidly growing global partners design, develop features and services enabling key business priorities for optimal business value. You will be responsible for Integrations aspect between Workforce Management systems: UKG Pro WFM and Logile, helping the technical direction, partnering with architecture, and security consultants. Participating in the recommendations alongside the Agile product team. Engineers at this level can deliver end-to-end on assignments in their area. You will work in a fast-paced environment which will challenge you to think creatively and exhibit an agile mindset. All the solution delivery work will be done within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Responsibilities
- Leads technical discussions to design approaches to solving visible business problems.
- Design, code, deploy & support working software/technology component, working collaboratively with architects and other engineers.
- Work with other development and delivery teams to ensure their systems are well designed, deployed to production and any known risks are identified and mitigated.
- Could act as a lead on a scrum team in an Engineering capacity for medium initiatives, prioritizing tasks, providing guidance, and resolving issues.
- Coaches and guides engineering talent leveraging your software engineering experience
- Partners with cross functional technical team members to drive technical solutions that meet business needs
- Ensures best engineering practices are followed/adopted for operational excellence
- Contributes to high level architecture to drive engineering & operational excellence
- Responsibilities include NFRs, SOX/PCI requirements and security best practices
Skills/Knowledge
- 8+ years of overall Engineering & IT experience
- 5+ years of Experience in Developing, Solutioning budgeting and planning solutions, interactions between different applications
- Experience with Integrations build using IBM DataStage Platform
- 2+ years of experience with Middleware technologies like DataStage, MoveIT automation, etc
- 2+ years of experience in Unix platform
- 3+ SaaS/Cloud Practices
- 3+ years of experience with Automation Testing Technologies (Tosca)
- 3+ years of experience working with databases like Oracle, SQL Server, Postgress, Google BigQuery, SQL etc.
- Preferred Experience:
- Expertise in integrating diverse systems & APIs, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability between different software platforms.
- Knowledge of Agile and DevOps tools such as Git/Gitlab, SonarQube, JIRA, Confluence etc.,
- Knowledge of Oracle HRIS, Workday etc., with respect to integrating with Logile systems
- Knowledge and Experience with Retail business process
- Proven experience leading technical design and solution delivery in complex, distributed systems.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
- Proficiency with source code management tools (e.g., Git), Jira, and Confluence.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across teams and geographies.
- Experience with providing and implementing security recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach engineers at various levels.
- Ability to understand and communicate the business impact of technical issues.
- Demonstrates lean agile mindset and embraces the culture of continuous improvement and learning
- Works independently and collaborates well as part of a multiple geo team
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with the software development lifecycle, within an AGILE environment
