TECHNICAL OPERATIONS ENGINEER (Core Systems)
TJX is looking for a Web Operations Engineer to join our newest division: TJX Digital . This nimble, start-up like digital organization is responsible for bringing transformative digital innovation to all of TJX and our U.S. ecommerce businesses.

The Technical Operations Engineer is part of TJX’s Digital IT Operations team and is responsible for maintaining and improving the availability, performance and usability of various TJX E-Commerce Core Systems. The role provides breadth and depth of opportunity across the E-Commerce landscape. Individuals with leadership, excellent communication, strong passion for customer service, excellent technical fundamentals and a talent for problem solving will find great success and fulfilment in the role.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensure systems meet availability goals, transactions perform as expected, capacity is available and user experience is excellent;
· Leverage various application performance and web analytics tools and logs to monitor performance and identify any potential issues requiring resolution;
· Collaborate with teams to ensure new products are sufficiently transitioned for support;
· Collaborate with leadership, business partners, and support team to appropriately assess and prioritize issues;
· Collaborate with team members and vendors to address issues and improve site performance;
· Provide sound communication to key stakeholders when service disruptions occur;
· Responsible for reporting the health and trend of the E-commerce platform;
· Track changes affecting the E-Commerce environment;
· Ensure critical systems are highly available with tested backup and recovery procedures in place;
· Interface with Development teams to ensure their systems are well designed and deployed;
· On-call as required;
· Constantly identifies ways to improve processes, site performance, and monitoring.
Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor's Degree in technology or information systems or equivalent work experience;
· 4+ years of related IT experience with 2+ years of experience in application support;
· Experience with ERP, Merchandising, Financial, Fulfillment platforms required (1+ years);
· Experience following ITIL incident, problem and change management processes preferred (2+ years)
· Experience with monitoring and analytics tools preferred (AppDynamics or Splunk experience strongly preferred);
· Experience working in .NET environments preferred;
· Strong knowledge of common Internet protocols (TCP, DNS, HTTP);
· Experience using SaaS based services preferred;
· Experience working with and holding vendors & third parties accountable;
· Solid grasp of Networking Fundamentals, Microsoft SQL Server and Windows Server operating systems;
· Experience with virtualization or cloud systemsa plus;
· Curious, Inquisitive with strong analytic and decision making abilities;
· Ability to understand and communicate the business impact of technical issues.
