Technical Engineer III

Duties :Work as part of Middleware team to provide infrastructure design, administration and support for various TJX Middleware and Database platforms. Perform technology engineering, administration and maintenance to support WebSphere MQ, WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Service Registry (WSRR), DataPower, IBM Integration Bus, Extreme Scale, Ipswitch, Cleo Harmony, DB2, Oracle, Biztalk and MQ FTE. Work closely with all IT Teams to solve complex technical incidents and problems and escalate when appropriate. Automate repetitive activities related to administration of Middleware, Integration and Database platforms using DevOps tools like Ansible, Bitbucket, Jenkins, etc. Implement Middleware and database solutions on AIX, Windows and Linux operating systems. Work as a member of a project team on Business projects. May lead teams on smaller projects. Analyze potential changes and enhancements to software and hardware to determine impact on existing production systems, system design standards and operating procedures. Design and complete technology engineering and Administration maintenance tasks and analyzes process for improvement. Provide direction and guidance to junior associates. Support business critical applications in a multi-vendor environment, while working closely with Application Development, Database, Server and Networking Teams. Implement controls and security to comply with TJX security standards. Investigate use of available software used to analyze problems and procedures to perform fine tuning to maximize production. Analyze and recommend alternative solutions for system enhancements and problem resolution projects. Interact directly with internal customers or external service provider to negotiate solutions and implementation specifics. Monitor performance of WAS/MQ/IIB/DataPower/Oracle/DB2 using enterprise monitoring tools like ITCAM and AppDynamics. Adhere to TJX security and compliance standards. Adhere to TJX change management policies and procedures. Responsible for supporting asset inventory accuracy and completeness. Provide 24/7 on call support on a rotating basis once every 6 weeks.
Requirements :Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or a directly related field plus five (5) years of experience in installation, administration and support of Middleware, Database and Integration technologies.
Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
· Implementing Highly Available clustered Middleware, Integration and Database solutions on AIX, Windows and Linux Operating Systems including:
· Experience using at least 1 of the following Devops tools: Ansible or Chef
· Experience using at least 1 of the following Devops tools: Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, or Git
· Administration and support of IBM WebSphere SOA product family - IIB, DataPower, and WebSphere MQ
· Experience in working with at least 1 of the following databases: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2
· Developing infrastructure architecture, capacity, and reliability for Enterprise service bus (ESB) components MQ, IIB, and DataPower:
· Automating Middleware and Database installation using DevOps tools
· PCI / SOX compliance needs
· Coordinating triage teams for Production issues and resolution
· Delivering written reports, ESB product documentation, and processes
· Designing and automating Software installation, configuration, application service deployment.
· Automating operational tasks
· Programming and scripting languages shell, bash, jython, jacl, and vbScript
Must have 4 years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
· At least 1 of the following languages: perl, yaml, python, json, groovy, or powershell
Must have 1 year of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
· Working on container technologies OpenShift, Kubernetes or Docker Swarm, including:
· Working in a cloud environment
· Enterprise monitoring using ITCAM, AppDynamics, CA Introscope, Oracle Enterprise Monitoring, or Dynatrace
· Working in regulated environments..
