Within Security Operations, our Security Engineering team is responsible for our security tools suite. A Network Security Engineer on this team will focus on maintaining, improving & optimizing our tools. You will act a subject matter expert to identify/recommend/implement process and technology improvements.

 

The Skills and Experience that will Make You Successful

 

·  5+ years of experience with large scale firewall architecture, design, testing, development, migration, and integration
·  Experience with NGFW infrastructure technologies for both on-premises and cloud deployments
·  Ability to be hands–on and configure firewall rule sets and objects in an enterprise environment is required
·  Knowledge of industry best practices for designing, implementing, and maintaining firewall, intrusion detection/prevention, SSL, IPSec, TLS, GRE, RADIUS and 802.x along with service availability throughout the system life cycle
·  Track, triage and schedule component vulnerabilities identified across IT and Cloud infrastructures
·  Experience using network management tools and packet capture analysis to resolve operational issues
·  Expertise with Palo Alto firewalls, including application-based rule design and implementation, rule base optimization, global objects, and IDS/IPS policies, and Panorama management systems is preferred
·  Liaise with the Security Operations Center to develop detection capabilities
·  Current experience in security threats, solutions, security tools and network technologies along with a keen ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
·  Create or update documentation including security diagrams, procedures, and policies to ensure the organization is addressing the current threat landscape
·  Excellent understanding and knowledge of TCP/IP stack and network services such as DNS, SMTP, DHCP, etc
·  Experience and understanding of Python, Tufin, Cisco ISE & NAC products is a plus
·  Strong written and verbal communication skills
·  Ability to work in a flexible work environment on a global team
·  Education Level: Bachelor's or Master’s in relevant fields is preferred or equivalent technical experience is expected; relevant industry certifications preferred
