The Senior Software Engineer works collaboratively with architects, developers, and other specialists to estimate, design, code, deploy & support, the working software/technology component of our Global Buying Tools

 

Responsibilities include:

·  Building systems and services that have immediate impact for our business.
·  Performs programming, code analysis, debugging, review, develops and executes unit/integration tests as part of an agile scrum team
·  Developing .Net/C# code and ensure the developers on the scrum teams are adhering to the software quality standards agreed by our team so that work is done to the highest possible quality.
·  Fostering the adoption of DevOps tools and capabilities across product delivery teams, which include project managers, business analysts, QA testers, developers, and infrastructure engineers.
·  Partnering with delivery teams to understand their DevOps capability requirements and to define and deliver effective DevOps solutions to drive efficiencies and improve operational stability.
·  Sets up application jobs, crafts test data, supports non-production environments.
·  Creates and reviews Detailed Technical Specifications and performs the review of code
·  Acting in a lead capacity for medium to large initiatives, prioritizing and assigning project tasks, providing mentorship and resolving issues. Reports status to Project management and collaborate with other domains, IT areas and 3rd party vendors as needed
·  Actively participate in Solution Development process definitions and development of standards
·  Contribute to new technology, vendor package and tool road mapping, evaluation and introduction. Defining and making sure the source control and release management processes and standards
·  Ensures compliance with Performance, Security, Availability, Recoverability and Supportability standards and policies and provides Monitoring recommendations for tasks of low to medium level of complexity

 

Skills/Knowledge

·  3 – 5 years Software Engineering experience including, 2+ years of professional hands-on full-stack development experience with the .NET framework
·  Microsoft Azure Services experience with Cloud Services, Azure SQL Databases, Storage, Service Bus, and Azure Cloud Testing
·  Data storage technologies such as MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Azure Cosmos DB and Azure SQL.
·  Experience with services and applications using .NET Core, NodeJS, ASP.NET MVC, MVVM, Entity Framework, C# and JavaScript.
·  Familiar with test automation using Selenium or WinAppDriver
·  Knowledge of mobile and Azure cloud development, including UWP
·  Proficient with various testing concepts and debugging tools
·  Requires thorough understanding and a working knowledge of the systems development life cycle including iterative and incremental development such as Agile
·  Thorough understanding of source code management tools and concepts
·  Familiar with DevOps concepts and tools
·  Able to adapt easily to changing requirements and priorities
