What you’ll do
It’s safe to say, there’s no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role:
- This position is responsible for leading the development and delivery of training projects for all stores nationally and providing subject matter expertise across store operations to build a variety of learning experiences including instructor led, eLearning, policy & procedure documents, and supporting visual materials to create effective learning solutions for the field
- Plans for the development and implementation of instructor led, eLearning, or visual based solutions through direct partnerships with subject matter experts in Store Operations and Field partners to conduct comprehensive needs analysis, align on initiative outcomes, and identify and assess risks to project goals; provide required project updates to business leads and project teams where needed
- Leads and collaborates on projects with varying spans of complexity; Includes developing project charters and project goals, creating milestones, communicating project timelines, and meeting and influencing with business partners regularly to ensure alignment to project outcomes and meet business priorities
- Develops detailed training plans to support the implementation of new Operational Improvement initiatives to enable the adoption of new field processes for all banners
- Maintains and conducts annual reviews of all store training programs alongside subject matter experts, Learning & Development partners, soliciting Field feedback to identify any training gaps or opportunities
- Collaborates with Field Training Managers and SMEs to build effective learning elements. Acts as a consultant to Learning & Development partners for the design of new templates for programs including workbooks, leader’s guides, PowerPoints, interactive PDF’s, video creation & editing
What you’ll need
To begin your career with us, we require the following:
- Minimum College Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Retail Management preferred. Certification in Adult Learning or Instructional Design certificate/program completion is an asset
- Three to five years’ retail experience with a minimum of three (3) years of training design experience. Facilitation and Project Management experience is an asset
- Strong project management skills including maintaining detailed development plans for projects; understanding and applying principles of project control; ability to manage projects within one or more systems
- Intermediate to advanced communication skills (technical) and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
- A valid Driver’s license required
Salary Range: $73,190 - $102,410* /year
*This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
