We are looking for an innovative and enthusiastic engineer, who embraces the use of technology, learns new concepts and technologies quickly and delivers effective, scalable and quality solutions, to enable and scale various Data Governance capabilities.

As a Senior Engineer at TJX, you will be part of Data Governance function and deliver products and solutions to enable the organization to manage and govern data effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy scalable data pipelines, data conversions, reports, AI/ML models and other software solutions to support implementation and scaling of Data Governance capabilities
• Analyse needs to develop and implement automation solutions, establish integrations, perform data extraction clean-up and preparation, data import and export, API integrations and other solutions leveraging Python, its libraries and other data preparation tools.
• Leverage AI/ML methodologies to create knowledge graphs, AI/ML models, GenAI and other AI/ML solutions to scale Data Governance and automation capabilities efficiently.
• Implement solutions on Azure, including Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and Azure Databricks for data processing.
• Create and manage data models, extract, profile, analyse and derive insights using Data Science principles/SQL queries and visualize insights
• Leverage tools and programming languages like Python, SQL, stored procedures, Alteryx and Data Science libraries like Pandas to build robust data solutions.
• Create and deliver reports and dashboards using PowerBI and other similar platforms
• Work as a core technical team member under minimum guidance, employing DevOps tools, establishing CI/CD pipelines, API integrations and cloud computing platforms such as Azure for streamlined software delivery while remaining compliant to established practices and standards.
• Collaborate within Agile teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Adhere to data governance processes to ensure data quality, usability, consistency, integrity, and security.
• Implement scalable solutions that align with data governance standards and architectural standards for data integrations, storage, reporting, and analytics.
• Perform data analysis to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with all organizational levels to drive results.
• Partner with key stakeholders and other team members to deliver solutions that meet needs efficiently.
• Leverage expertise in data warehousing, data modeling, DevOps/CI-CD, API integration, big data, and cloud computing platforms (e.g., Azure)

What You will Need (Minimum Qualifications)

• Over five years of engineering experience in Data Science or Analytics or AI/ML, that required data extraction, clean-up, analysis, model building, deriving and visualizing insights, focusing on scalable solutions.
• Technology experience with
  • Cloud computing platforms (Azure preferred)
  • Snowflake/PostgreSQL/Oracle/SQL Server (Experience)
  • Azure Data Lake Storage (Exposure)
  • Databricks (Exposure)
  • SQL, Stored procedures (Experience)
  • Python (3+ years), Pyspark, DS libraries like Pandas and other python AI/ML libraries like Numpy, sci-kit etc
  • PowerBI
  • AI/ML concepts - Knowledge graphs, RAG, GenAI, AI/ML Models
• Experience with
  • Source code control (e.g. GitHub)
  • Continuous integration tools (e.g. Azure DevOps)
• 2 years of experience in DevOps (CI/CD, automation) using tools like Jenkins, JFrog, GitHub, Control-M.
• 3 years of experience working in Agile and Scrum frameworks.
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills to solve complex technical problems
• Ability to quickly learn and utilize new technologies and concepts
• Strong champion of DevSecOps and Engineering practices.
• An enabler of DevOps mindset/approach for modernized and legacy systems to co-exist

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience in building enterprise analytics, data science, AI/ML solutions and leveraging Azure cloud architecture.

• Experience in data and information management as it relates to enterprise data and analytics.
• Experience working in a matrixed management organization 
• Exposure to solution delivery lifecycle including project management, business requirements, application development, testing, technologies/platforms, agile development methodologies, use of product team structures, and/or other applicable methodologies.
