Job Summary
Supports new store openings and trains associates and management in merchandise presentation (MTP). Assists in the development of the merchandise layout of each store. Communicates the company standards and assists in achieving that standard by directing and assisting associates and management to flex aisles, create features, rework stock, etc. Problem solves visual presentation issues with management and AVP of Merchandise Presentation.

- Participates in new store openings: supports, directs and trains. Significant overnight travel required.
- Works with existing store districts in training visual merchandise presentation standards. Includes communicating standards and participating in “hands-on” work, such as resets, features, lifestyles, etc.
- “Trouble Shoots” under the direction of the AVP of Merchandise Presentation to assist individual stores in solving merchandise presentation problems or remerchandising areas that require flexing due to inventory levels. Specifically, aids the district manager and store management teams in determining merchandise presentation strategies.
- Performs special projects as assigned.
- Specify the measure and size of this job’s financial responsibility (e.g., $100,000 payroll budget, $8,000,000 sales volume): Influences merchandise presentation in 8-10 stores with average $6 million
- Determines merchandise techniques and features
- Recommends merchandise presentation strategies, features, flexing etc.
- Recommends fixture usage
Who We’re Looking For: You.
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of merchandise techniques
- Creative/artistic abilities
- Familiar with HG Merchandise and Operations
- Ability to coach and train associates and management
- 3-5 years in retail environment, preferably with home fashions
- 1-2 years of Supervisory experience
- "Train the Trainer" class experience
- On the job training of opening new stores (preferred not required)
