Loss Prevention Analyst Internship Program

Ready to make a substantialimpact in the development of our store Loss Prevention teams– and our bottom line? During this internship you’ll learn about retail from the inside out and get a thorough understanding of why Loss Prevention is critical to every area of our business. Loss Prevention is partly about security, but also about managing change, and using strategic thinking to maximize our profits.

The Team:

Our Loss Prevention Department within The TJX Companies, Inc. represents one of the largest and progressive organizations in retail. We collaborate and provide support to all aspects of our business including, Home Office, Stores, Distribution Centers and Buying Offices. While each chain maintains an individual brand, we have implemented a best practices approach in our U.S. Divisions to positively impact and mitigate loss. Our mission is protecting Company assets, developing cohesive partnerships, maintaining confidentiality, professionalism and providing world-class service to our external and internal customers.

The Opportunity:

Through this internship, you’ll have the opportunity to:

 

·  Conducts analysis on all pilot/test and existing physical security programs. Communicates results of all pilot/tests for physical security projects to Loss Prevention and Home Office Management
·  Analyzes ROI on proposed and existing physical security projects/programs
·  Makes recommendations for capital and service expenditures
·  Works closely with Physical Security Project Managers and vendors on all areas of expense and capital spending and accounting
·  Collaborates with Home Office Loss Prevention Executives and Field LP Management to identify opportunities for expense reduction, reallocation and profit improvement
·  Provides instruction on report utilization and interpretation to field management

 

You’ll also have an opportunity to work with other interns on a team project and give a final presentation to Loss Prevention senior leadership team members upon the completion of your internship at corporate headquarters in Framingham, MA.

Specifically, we’re looking for:

·  Sophomores or Juniors with a GPA of 3.0 or above
·  Proven leadership, team collaboration, and strong communication skills
·  Self-starters and fast learners with a “never done” work ethic

·  Return for a second Loss Prevention summer internship
·  Join us in a full-time Loss Prevention role after graduation
