Global IT at TJX is offering technical internship opportunities at our Marlborough or Framingham, MA offices to students seeking to learn, grow and contribute in a fast-paced, dynamic global IT organization. You will gain industry experience in global retail technology and you will have opportunities to work in an Agile environment to develop innovative solutions to make our platforms even better. Some of our technologies include Integration, Oracle Applications, Java, NE, BI / EDW, Database, Networking and Active Directory.  

 

Multiple Summer 2020 opportunities are available as an IT Engineering Internship within a variety of areas within the TJX Global IT organization such as:

    / Solution Development & Delivery 

   / Security & Compliance  

  / Infrastructure & Operations

 

        

These internships will provide an opportunity to collaborate with experienced technology experts globally to identify innovative technology solutions for the company. Every day, you’ll discover what makes working at TJX so different—working on projects that contribute to the IT transformation strategy, as well as assisting with daily activities within the Global IT functions.  

 

Responsibilities may include:

  / Creation and development of integration pipelines

  / Review and evolve current processes

  / Assist with incident management and resolution of reported issues

/ Tool evaluation and recommendations through proof of concepts

/ Technical documentation

 

Each IT Engineering Intern will receive targeted supervision and guidance, hands-on training to facilitate learning, while given a high degree of creativity and autonomy—providing the tools for success in a global Fortune 100 retail technology environment. 

 

Who We Are Looking For: It Just Might Be You.

We are looking for students who are highly motivated self-starters and who possess the ability to prioritize effectively, be proactive and flexible, and thrives in a fast-paced, professional environment. Additional skills include:

  / Knowledge, understanding, and experience with some of the following: 

 

–Technology and technical terms

 

 

 

 

–Programming languages, such as, Java, Groovy, or .Net

 

 

 

 

–Scripting languages, such as, JavaScript, Ant, or Python

 

 

 

 

–Basic understanding of IT Security Tools

 

 

 

 

–Basic understanding of DevOps tools and automation

 

 

 

 

–Business Intelligence and Data Analytics

 

  

 

 

–Networking technologies

 

 

 

 

–Understanding of cybersecurity risks, attacks, and ways to mitigate them

 

 

 

 

–Understand network security and/or endpoint security basics

 

 

 

 

 

/ Problem solvers who can think creatively

 

 

 

 

 

/ Proven critical thinking and analytical skills

 

 

 

 

/ Excellent communicator

 

 

 

 

/ Those who can think in “Agile Mindset”—flexible, change adept, willingness to learn

 

 

 

 

 

/ Students with proven leadership abilities and strong work ethic

 

         

Key Qualifications:

/ A well-founded academic background—GPA of 3.0 or above

 

/ Current Sophomore or Junior year student

 

/ Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, MIS or related major (other majors may be considered)
