Job Description:

We're seeking a Financial Analyst, Stores (18-Month Contract) to help shape the financial strategy behind multi-million-dollar payroll and capital initiatives. In this role, you'll collaborate with senior leaders across Store Operations, Marketing, and Finance to deliver impactful insights into budgets, forecasts, and cost management. You'll gain exposure to high-visibility projects, present findings that influence decision-making, and contribute to process improvements that drive operational efficiency. What You’ll Do:

  • Prepares and analyzes data related to the Stores Fiscal financials. Leverages strong business partnerships across Finance, Marketing and Store Operations to focus on payroll budgets/forecasts, cost management (e.g. supplies, repairs and maintenance, discretionary), project analysis, ad hoc business support analysis and requests.

  • Collaborates with partners to identify opportunities (or risks) and make recommendations that improve accuracy of forecasts/rolling plans.

  • Partners with Finance teams (Accounting, FP&A, Cash Accounting) to help report the month-end actuals, create bridges to help explain variances, forecasts and monthly, quarterly presentations to various audiences. .

  • Provides business analytics, operations reporting, and rate/volume analytics for store expense lines to explain financial impacts to Operations.

  • Partners with regional offices and leadership to support inquiries, build budgets/forecasts and align with Home Office partners.

  • Builds and supports Capital budgets for all Home Office Store Operations departments and Regional partners; reports on capital spend in liaison with Fixed Assets team.

About You:

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in financial planning, reporting and analysis; preference for related experience in retail, CPG/FMCG or Supply Chain/Logistics industry.

  • A post-secondary education in related field (e.g. Business Administration, Math, Statistics, Economics, Finance/Accounting, Engineering or related quantitative discipline).

  • Good working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), retail and cost accounting methods; working knowledge in statistical theory analyses is considered an asset.

  • Strong problem-solving skills including accurate analysis of information, research skills, and knowledge of data design, manipulation concepts.

  • Good organizational skills including change management, prioritization, time management, the ability to multi-task with limited supervision and under time pressures (deadlines); ability to keep appropriate team members aware of progress.

  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; able to develop and build relationships with team, internal and external partners.

  • Strong computer skills including spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel), fluency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), knowledge of accounting software, and experience with budgeting tools (e.g. TM1); experience creating dashboards in Power Bi and/or Tableau is considered an asset.

  • Authentic interest pursuing continuous learning, embracing new challenges, and volunteering for ad-hoc projects.

Salary Range: $60,082.50-$84,115.50 /year *This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
