The Role 
Based in either the UK or Germany the European Travel Manager will be responsible for the management of TJX Europe’s external travel providers ensuring that all services provided meet the needs of the travellers and the company both operationally and commercially. 
You will lead 1 direct report and selected specialist service partners, in delivering a full range of travel services across TJX Europe. The European Travel Manager will work closely with associates and stakeholders from across TJX Europe including global teams, to continuously evolve the operating structure. You will be the subject matter expert to shape our TJX Travel programs so that they are aligned to the unique TJX values and fit our culture.


Key Accountabilities
•    Manage the ongoing relationship between TJX Europe and the appointed external Travel Agency
•    Manage and develop relationships with vendors, airlines, hotels etc.
•    In partnership with Global Sourcing & Procurement, actively negotiate travel related costs i.e. agency, hotel, airline, car hire etc.
•    Manage various European travel policies and approval processes 
•    Regularly review cost structure and advice on ways of reducing cost 
•    Create, implement and regularly assess appropriate SLA’s are in place and meet quarterly with key external providers to review formally against KPI’s
•    Cross functional working to support best practice and compliance
•    Management and reporting of yearly budgets supported by Finance business partner
•    Manage the development of travel contracts in close collaboration with Global Sourcing & Procurement

 

Key Skills & Experience 
•    Proven experience of travel management in a Travel Management Company or Corporate 
•    GDS, hotel RFP, OLBT, IATA knowledge
•    Experience of working within a customer facing and customer service focused environment
•    Experience of managing budgets
•    Working knowledge of developing KPI’s and SLA’s for service providers
•    Take a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring unparalleled service delivery to our valued partners
•    Proven experience of developing people and Performance Management
•    Commercial acumen
