Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated DC HR Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR administrative support to the DC HRBP team at our distribution services network facility. our efforts will help create a meaningful and empowered experience for our associates.

Contract Duration: 12 months

What You’ll Do:​

  • Provide Human Resources Generalist support services to the DCHR Managers including Labour Relations, health and safety, claims management, talent acquisition, training and development, and HR data and metric maintenance.
  • Support the DCHR Manager and/or the AR Specialists in the promotion of a positive, inclusive work environment through supporting confidential coaching and counseling to Associates, the timely resolution of issues in accordance with legislation, company values, policies and procedures (i.e. Open Door, Diversity, Performance Management, corrective action, etc.), and also through providing timely responses to questions and inquiries regarding Associate Relations issues.
  • Support the DCHR Managers and/or the AR Specialists with the administration/documentation/follow up of all labour relations issues as assigned (i.e. progressive discipline, attendance management, collective agreement interpretation, grievance process); partnering with the Associate Relations Specialist on all issues to ensure consistency in application.
  • Provide full administrative assistance including managing the leave of absence process, safety shoe reimbursement, preparing documents and presentation materials, screening and responding to incoming correspondence, inquiries and phone calls, drafting letters, arranging and attending meetings, recording and distributing meeting minutes, and supporting the AVP Admin   Assistant when scheduled at other location. Ie mail, agendas distribution.
  • Support weekly and bi-weekly DC payroll processing, particularly through auditing and tracking compliance to the CBA, and act as the back up to the HR Coordinator role
  • Compile and analyze data, prepare and/or distribute various reports as directed. ie labour statistics, attendance management statistics.

​​About You:

  • Minimum 1-2 years Human Resources generalist experience with a focus on Labour or Associate Relations.
  • College Diploma/BA or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
  • Human Resources designation (CHRP or working towards) or equivalent required.
  • Issue management skills including time management including prioritizing (managing multiple demands); multi-tasking; ability to handle high volume workload; information gathering including ability to maintain strict confidentiality; problem solving skills (identifying and correcting errors); and interpersonal skills (working with Associates at all levels, ability to build collaborative working relationships and work well with others in a team setting, etc.);
  • Computer skills including knowledge of Human Resource Systems (i.e. kronos, Oracle) word processing, databases, email with a high proficiency in Excel.
  • Customer service skills including effectively and efficiently responding to all Associate and Operations Management inquiries in a courteous and professional manner including dealing with high-pressure telephone calls; persuasiveness; identifying stated and unstated customer needs; building relationships with Distribution Centre Operations Management and Associates; escalating any conflicts or problems that might arise; etc.).

Salary Range: $43,117.50-$60,364.50 /year *This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
