Construction Project Lead

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Directly oversee miscellaneous construction projects for all TJX chains. Assist in project schedules and assigning General Contractors.  Negotiate pricing, track progress, and close-out for all miscellaneous construction initiatives. Provide TJX Field Organization and Management a report detailing the current status of all miscellaneous construction initiatives on a regular basis.

 

Provide Administrative support to the construction management team by performing the following project related tasks:

•Create contract preparation memos for General Contractors

•Obtain all project close-out documentation for new store program

•Track billing for all miscellaneous construction projects

 

Assists in the coordinating and monitoring the punchlist and close–out process for TJX new store program. Communicate project status to the field organization, general contractors, project managers, and internal management.

 

Decision making:

Award miscellaneous construction projects to General Contractors while staying within budget.

Responsible for developing scheduling strategies to ensure timely completion of projects and cost effective execution methods.

 

Job Knowledge:

•Bachelor's degree preferred

•General construction, fixturing, and retail store planning knowledge is a plus.

•Strong knowledge of store layouts, HVAC, electrical and plumbing criteria would be desired.

•Strong organizational and project planning skills are a must.

•Adept in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

 

Minimum experience required to perform this job:

•3+ years in Store Planning, Architectural Design, Fixturing and Facilities Management, or related construction trades would be preferred.

•Retail experience is preferred.
