We are looking for a Buying Administrator with fashion or product development background to join our Buying Operations Team based in Watford.

 

As a Buyer Administrator you will provide support to a Knitwear Buyer with the Product development and some of the main responsibilities will include:

 

·  Managing the lab dips/bulks and trim approvals by collecting info, liaising with buyer to advise comments to vendor
·  Attend fits, pep`s the meeting and communicating actions to Vendors
·  Ownership of sample management
·  Support buyer in range building meetings and working with buyer to follow up queries with vendors e.g regarding price, re costing, chasing new samples

 

In addition to organizing the Buyers’ itineraries and managing purchase orders and invoices, you will also write orders and participate in filtering potential suppliers. Supporting the management of our vendors and royalty accounts will also be part of your responsibilities. By researching each vendor you will contribute vital information to help make the Buyers work more efficient.

You will get involved with project coordination, strategy support and preparation for the pre-production and production sample processes. This will include requesting and coordinating samples from vendors, setting up displays for Buyer approval, creating mood boards, strategy packs and presentations.

The role also involves travelling to Far East three times a year and often travels with Buyer within UK.

 

Desired Skills and Experience

·  High school education or equivalent
·  Strong administrative and organisational skills
·  PC literate with intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel  skills, good data entry and math skills
·  Demonstrates flexibility and ability to adapt to an ever-changing and diverse environment
·  Independent, able to work effectively without day-to-day supervision
·  Task oriented, aware of deadlines
·  Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain relationships with people at different levels
·  Self-starter, self-motivated, fast learner
·  Ability to represent the company in a professional manner
