JOB SUMMARY:

Acts as liaison between the Distribution Centers and the Home Office Merchandising Department by representing the interests of Merchandising, Planning and Allocation and Stores. Responsibilities are primarily on the Receiving dock, but not limited to all areas of the DC.

Duties and Responsibilities:                                                                                                                                                                                                              

· 
·  Random Check of Merchandise on the Dock before header entry. 
·  Check for: quality, price, quantity and match what buyer ordered (BFQP)
·  Answer receiver, layup, AC, and Pre-D questions pertaining to POs
·  Review/approve 100% overages
·  Sign all multi carton headers
·  Issue Pink Slips
·  Monitor DC Call Out and follow-up with Supervisors
·  Check PO DC/Planner Instructions for Hangtag, Label, or any other requirements.
·  Answer all Planning calls and requests via phone and Email
·  Send digital photos and samples as needed
·  Request re-distro’s from DC deletions
·  Communicate Planning objectives to DC team and vice versa
·  Keep DC management and associates up to date on merchandising issues                    
·  RTVs and Damages
·  Identify and initiate RTVs, prepare information for RTV Clerk, send RTV, communicate RTV to DC(initiate bulk moves, mdse update), and follow up on RTV throughout entire process
·  Train and give direction to RTV/Damage associate
·  Watch dock damages to ensure any high dollar amounts are captured as RTVs
·  Merchandise Update – keep your entries current
·  Complete daily communication logs(Pass On Communication) between shifts
·  Communicate immediately to Manager and MC Team merchandising issues that have large scope/financial impact
·  Verify pre-ticket information and check ticket quality
·  Maintain MDSE 101 Training material and Problem Solving Guide (1 MC is Gatekeeper)
·  Train new MCs and other Members of management as needed
·  Personal/professional development—attend training classes, work on objectives
·  Assist Mdse Clerical in research, problem solving, and proper handling of extraordinary E-Hotline emails
·  Problem solve in processing areas (only after Supervisors have shown they attempted to problem    solve need assistance moving forward)      
·  Attend MC conference calls and staff meetings
·  Special merchandise Shipments/Projects—coordinate start to finish, i.e., sample buys, warehouse sweeps, etc.
·  Ensure building compliance with Best Practices related to merchandise
·  Research, answer inquiries from Accts Payable, partnering with DC Analyst

JOB KNOWLEDGE

Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail etc. preferred or equivalent job experience.

Minimum job skills required to perform this job-

·  Strong organizational and time management skills as well as flexibility and ability to prioritize.
·  Works well with little Supervision, self-motivated.
·  Ability to work within paradoxical and agile thinking.
·  Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office 365, Word, Excel, Lync, PowerPoint.
·  Strong Problem Solving and negotiation skills in addition to strong oral and written communication.
·  Displays strong follow through skills to resolve problems in a timely manner.
·  Utilizes active listening skills to effectively communicate with all levels.
·  Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
·  Ability to informally influence.

Minimum Experience

2+ years’ experience in the following is preferred:

·  Retail Store Management
·  Merchandise Assistant
·  Analyst
·  Merchandising Clerical
