Job description
TJ Hughes is a national retailer with big expansion plans for 2016. We currently have a fantastic opportunity for the ideal candidate to join our Buying & Merchandising team as a Merchandising Admin Assistant based at our Head Office in London Road, Liverpool.
The purpose of this role is to support the Merchandiser and Assistant Merchandiser in the planning, management and delivery of stock to the stores.
The Role
- Ensure the efficient distribution of stock to stores in line with strategic plan.
- Allocate stock in line with store sales budget, promotional plan, departmental footage and product mix.
- Maintain in-store stock availability.
- Constantly review and where appropriate allocate DC stocks in line with store requirements.
- Work with relevant suppliers to ensure they understand and meet our stock and process requirements.
- Maintain up to date, accurate and easily accessible stock and supplier excel files.
- Provide administrative and clerical assistance to the buying and merchandising team.
- Answer and where possible resolves departmental telephone queries e.g. Barcoding issues and general store enquiries, clear message taking for buying and merchandising team.
- Demonstrate effective communication to all departmental team members on all key issues.
Skills required:
Numerical skills, as a minimum GCSE Maths Grade B
Analytical and commercially minded
Excellent communication and effective people skills
Strong IT skills, especially excel spreadsheets
Highly organised
Data accuracy
The ability to work in a fast paced environment and deliver results
