Product/Furniture Design Intern

Job description

We're looking for an exceptional product design graduate to join our innovative design practice. This is a great opportunity for a talented and driven graduate to learn from and make a meaningful contribution to a growing practice.

The right candidate should have the confidence and ability to pick up and run with projects and not be afraid to make mistakes.

You will be working with our product/furniture designer, providing them support as well as taking on your own projects.

While our new product design intern will have the opportunity to learn about and be involved with all aspects of our work, here are a few specific examples of activities that the successful candidate may find themselves contributing to and gaining experience from.

Project Support

Aiding in the production of manufacture drawings (preferably in AutoCad format)
Inputting ideas for new product/furniture designs
Participating in and supporting the deliver of design workshops

Research

Exploring new materials that can enhance our design offering
Engaging with material suppliers
Exploring complementary design approaches

Duration

The successful intern is expected to commit to a minimum of 6 weeks, working on a part-time
basis of 3 days a week.

Remuneration

Expenses covered to £ 20 x day
