Warehouse Associate

thyssenkrupp Industrial Services, a division of thyssenkrupp Materials NA, is a full-service provider of customized logistics and supply chain management solutions, including warehousing, third party logistics, transportation, quality inspection, returnable container management, and industrial facility maintenance.

Your responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Associate to be based out of the Livermore, CA or surrounding areas to accurately perform warehouse functions that assist in filling customer orders and package them properly, per work instructions. This position will ensure that all material is maintained in a neat and organized condition and that the warehouse area remains clean and orderly. Complete all required paperwork. Perform all duties in a safe and reliable manner
The key responsibilities of the Warehouse Associate position include, but are not limited to the following:
• Perform various duties as assigned, including but not limited to sequencing, sorting, stacking, cleaning and inspecting carton, pallets, and/or parts.
• Assist in filling and packaging orders and completing the paperwork per written instructions, when required.
• May operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
• Load and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded.
• Remove and put away stock from various operations.
• Properly enter/delete material identification tags per written instructions
• Identify, hold and segregate defective material, when required.
• Perform general clean-up.
• Assist machine operators with various functions.
• Break up and dispose of damaged, unusable skids.
• Maintain issued measurement equipment in working condition.
• Assisting in other duties, as requested by Team Leader or Supervisor.
• Train others when required.
• Participate, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S initiatives and requirements.

Your profile

• A high school diploma/GED
• Minimum of 2 years working in a fast paced warehouse environment
• Lean experience in a warehouse environment
• WMS Experience / working with RF scanners
• Forklift experience - Sit down / Reach Truck
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs 100 feet.
• May require use of hand held measuring tools and use of computer with or without scanning technology.
• Must be able to meet the requirements to obtain a Forklift Certification per thyssenkrupp Industrial Services Standards and OSHA requirements.
