Your responsibilities

thyssenkrupp Elevator Americas is currently seeking a Production Leader for second Shift and third shift to join our world class team in Middleton, TN.

Essential Job Functions:

·  Uses knowledge of company products & processes and lean principles to lead the activities of hourly personnel in the production department insuring maximum utilization of personnel and equipment.
·  With direction from the Production Manager plans and regulates work flow of production department.
·  Coordinates work flow with other departments / areas through written and oral contact. Investigates product and process problems and takes necessary action to resolve. Involves working within industrial shop-like environment.
·  Visually analyzes and audits standard work.
·  Promotes safety consciousness and investigates safety/health hazards and accidents.
·  With direction from the Production Manager administers union contracts and other employee policies.
·  Maintains work areas in a clean and orderly fashion according to 6S standards.
·  Conducts performance reviews and development plans for hourly employees.
·  Conducts daily communications meetings with members of the department / area.
·  May order tools and other materials / equipment with approval from the Production Manager.
·  Performs other job duties as may be assigned

Your profile

Job Requirements:

·  At least 2 - 5 years’ supervisory / team leader experience in a manufacturing facility
·  Experience in a unionized environment would be helpful but is not required
·  A proven record of consistent and fair enforcement of plant rules / policies / regulations
·  A proven record of achieving and maintaining schedule adherence
·  A proven record of developing / coaching the hourly workforce
·  Experience in metal fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly operations
·  Excellent communication/organization skills
