The Europe Africa Business Unit is the second-largest of thyssenkrupp Elevator’s four Business Units. This regional unit handles the sale, installation and servicing of elevators, escalators and moving walks. The Business Unit’s headquarters – thyssenkrupp Elevator Europe Africa – is located in Essen in Germany and in Madrid in Spain, from where it coordinates activities in Germany, France, the British Isles, Austria, Switzerland, the Benelux countries, Scandinavia, Iberia, Italy, Turkey, Eastern Europe and Africa. In fiscal 2014/2015 the Business Unit had almost 15,700 employees and generated sales of over €2.2 billion at around 275 locations.

Job Description/Specific Job Duties

Main objective:

Drive and support the implementation of the 3 group programs daproh HR, Global Shared Services and HR Business Partner Modell within the countries of the Business Unit Europe Africa in close cooperation with different stakeholders like management, HR and functional departments on local, Business Unit, Business Area (Elevator Technology) and group level as well as employee representatives.

·  daproh HR: Group wide program to implement common HR processes, templates and a common IT system
·  Global Shared Services: Group wide program to bundle administrative tasks in global shared service center. Main focus: HR and Finance
·  HR Business Partner Modell: Implementation of a group wide HR Business Partner organization including Shared Services, Expert Center and Business Partner functions in close cooperation with all stakeholders

Role and main tasks

·  Act as a main point of contact for HR transformation within the Business Unit
·  Coordinate and steer project management of local rollout plans (detail planning)
·  Ensure effective processes by doing a gap analysis of local processes with global template/blue print; challenge, verify feasibility, make proposals and from a Business Unit perspective
·  Elaborate local specifics/requirements and find specific and innovate solutions
·  Ensure effective measure of progress
·  Design local HR organizations and their transformation path towards an HR Business Partner Organization within the group framework
·  Create and support the change journey for local companies to ensure successful implementation
·  Support planning, organization and co-facilitation of workshops and process analysis
·  Project controlling (e.g. status reporting, definition and follow up of project milestones and steering committee meetings, risk management, escalation process)
·  Manage stakeholders by interfacing to other departments

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate is a self-driven character with a strong sense for HR organizational excellence and change management:

·  At least 3-5 years of relevant professional experience
·  Solid experience in at least one of the following areas: HR Operations, Payroll & Admin Processes, Organizational Development/ Effectiveness, Outsourcing and HR Transformation
·  Project and Change Management skills
·  Broad understanding of HR processes and affinity to related IT topics
·  Strong analytical as well as conceptual skills while at the same time being able to drive implementation
·  Being able to deal with ambiguity and complexity
·  Strong interpersonal and communication skills towards different target groups (employee to management) on an international stage
·  Distinct sense for HR Transformation implications regarding co-determination
·  English fluent in speech and writing is essential, another mayor European language is preferred
·  Intercultural sensitivity and willingness to travel
·  Motivated to work and travel in a global environment
