Job Description
thyssenkrupp Crankshaft Company is currently accepting applications for Production and Forge Team Operators at its facility in Danville, IL. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful global company known for making quality automotive and heavy duty components. The facility operates under a team-oriented approach with an emphasis on customer service, quality, continuous improvement, and involvement of all personnel in achieving production goals in a safe work environment.
Production Team Members are responsible for set-up and operation of the associated production equipment that produce high precision, close tolerance forged and machined parts with exceptional quality. Team member assignments will include Inspection, Final Control, Crane Operation, Storeroom, Materials Receiving and Forklift.
Forge Team Members are responsible for set-up, operation ,and maintenance of equipment including but not limited to induction heater, robots, reducer roll, Forge Press, lube spray system, trimmer, flash conveyor, twister, calibration press, cooling conveyor, shot blast, part position fixture, end mills, balance machines, hoist, gantry system, and conveyors. Responsible for performing equipment maintenance on metal cut saw and associated systems. Responsible for the repair of PLC's, hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, mechanical drive systems, industrial electrical power distribution, welding, fabrications, machine shop, the ability to read blue prints and other maintenance skills.
