Your responsibilities

SUMMARY: Assembles roller, ring and wire race bearings, ranging in diameter from eight (8)to seventy (70) inches, using drawings and customer specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties maybe assigned.

Study blueprints, specifications and bills of material.

Locate and inspect proper inner and outer ring for readiness to assemble.

Gather all component parts, such as balls or wires, spacers, seal, etc.

Lifts work piece(s) into table.

Mark filler plug position and soft spots

Relieve plug and any grease holes.

Clean inner and outer parts thoroughly to remove oil and debris.

Operate proper tools, such as hammers, grinder, punches, seal drivers, etc to install

components.

Manually rotate bearing to check operation free from binds or other deficiencies.

Install grease fittings, lubricate bearing and install tapered pin into lock.

Check assembled part for dimensional conformance to specifications.

Occasionally disassemble bearings for modification, or repair.

Report any deficiencies to shift supervisor as found.

Accurately complete final assembly production card and final inspection report

Maintain a neat and orderly work area.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and four to six months related

experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
