Overview of the Team and Business Unit:
Broadcast Solutions is part of Reuters Television and provides clients with customized video content sourcing the very best of Reuters' talent, information services and newsgathering operations. We provide clients with a range of services from specialized reporting in financial, general and sports news to offering complete programming. Broadcast Solutions has reporters, producers and facilities around the world in locations such as London, New York, Hong Kong, Mumbai and Japan.
Broadcast Solutions works closely alongside the broader Reuters' network of video, text and pictures to provide clients with bespoke content that exactly meets their requirements.
As well as daily news services, Broadcast Solutions also offers clients special coverage of major international events such as the Olympic Games and World Economic Forum in Davos.
Responsibilities of Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and presenting daily live reports and packages covering European financial news. The candidate will be expected to deliver timely news and insight in line with principles of accuracy, independence and freedom from bias. From time to time the candidate will also be required to cover general news reporting.
The relevant person will also be expected to work closely with the London and global team to produce content. They will need to liaise with the client to ensure that client needs are met.
Desired profile
Required Skills:
· Fluent Mandarin language (Reading & Writing)
· Proven business reporting background
· Strong on camera presenting skills
· Extensive broadcast television experience
· Ability to write and produce live and prerecorded reports under tight deadlines
· Live broadcasting experience on camera
· Strong communication skills
Desired Skills:
· Experience of Chinese media
· Video editing skills would be an advantage
Qualifications:
· Minimum bachelor's degree
