Job Summary


Reuters Video News is looking for a dynamic television journalist to join the Live Desk based in London.

The successful candidate should be able to work enthusiastically under pressure with our global news team, coordinating live coverage to broadcast and online clients in one of the fastest developing parts of our agency video business. They should have an understanding of live newsgathering, the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment and a genuine passion for live news in an evolving industry.

Essential Responsibilities

· Coordinate live video coverage for the Reuters Live Service, RLS PLUS and Reuters Live Online
· Respond confidently to major breaking news, act quickly to ensure live coverage needs are met
· Help to plan live coverage, showing an eye for detail and an interest in innovation
· Handle client queries from demanding customers in a fierce market, and respond to their changing needs

Desired profile

· Experience and understanding of the latest live newsgathering technologies
· Solid experience in agency and/or broadcast television news gathering
· Strong news judgment
· Team player who is able to work under pressure as part of the newsgathering team
· Interest in digital media and the fast-changing world of online news
