There is currently a need for a market analyst within the market analyst group at Thomson Reuters Loan Pricing Corporation. The position will be filled with a candidate meeting the following requirements:
The analyst will work closely with data production teams in New York, Manila & Gdynia as well as the Syndicated Loan Pricing Service to enhance loan market content on Thomson Reuters' products. Responsibilities will include: Enhancing and growing relationship with Thomson Reuters' clients and market associations ensuring that we proactively understand market trends. This might entail attending client visits, giving presentations or being a point person for client issues. The position will also work very closely with Loan Market Content Specialists and product managers to align priorities. It will be necessary to have knowledge of database and dataflow. A solid understanding of Thomson Reuters products (Eikon & DataScope/DSS), including how clients use them, is essential and portion of job responsibilities will be focused on product enhancements. Knowledge of the Syndicated Loan Market is a must. A wider understand of the FI market would be useful.
-Perform research that may encompass contacting market players and/or content specialists
-Apply database knowledge by maintaining production activities, preparing reports, contributing to training, and resolving client issues.
-Recognize detailed data flows between databases and between products.
-Check the accuracy of data received from various sources. Ensure that this information is properly stored and captured in Thomson Reuters' processes
-Respond to data queries from both internal and external clients and provide high-level support to such users.
-Participate in project work related to market of coverage.
-Create, update, and review documentation used within the team.
-Assume ownership of data quality for specified markets by identifying data deficiencies and internal inefficiencies and recommending improvements.
Perform other assignments requested by the manager.
Desired profile
. Bachelor"s degree or equivalent experience required
· Solid PC skills (Excel, Access, Word, SQL)
. Understanding of the Syndicated Loan market
· Familiarity with researching on the Internet
· Good oral and written communication skills
· Good problem solving and multi-tasking skills
· Must be well organized
· Ability to work without close supervision
. Strong attention to detail
· Ability to work well within the context of a team
· Ability to meet strict deadlines
The candidate should have strong interpersonal skills, as he/she will be required to assist in project work and training.
