The new leadership roles are integral to ensuring that the new organization flourishes. The roles are designed to:

·  Lead and encourage excellent performance from colleagues
·  Embed a client focused and commercially sound operating model.
·  Lead and design the EDD Training Structure and maintenance

ROLE PURPOSE :
(Accountabilities)

To coordinate the end to end delivery of all learning solutions e.g. research and other more general training, including training records management, training delivery and essential quality improvements.

To explore, evaluate and recommend potential knowledge management and training service improvements to the Head of Knowledge Management then collaborate to implement and socialize relevant changes.

To create, maintain and modify all relevant operational documents e.g. content documents, training materials and user guides, keeping relevant databases up to date through e.g. intranet content management.

Desired profile

ROLE OUTPUTS :
(Activities and tasks)

Coordinates learning solutions and global training delivery (in conjunction with the Knowledge Management and Training Lead) e.g. research or more general training:

·  Coordination and calibration with ops on their needs for deliverable with local trainers/ SME
·  Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with line managers
·  Draw an overall or individualized training and development plan that addresses needs and expectations
·  Deploy a wide variety of training methods
·  Recording of training material (new hires / refresher) – There are proposal from operation to automate the training
·  Making training material available in Learning portal
·  All tasks related to ALM (Accelus Learning Manager) or E Learning where we make knowledge enhancement courses available
·  Assessment creation and management- End of course assessment for new hires
·  Assessment – Quarterly assessment for existing staff / Periodic knowledge assessment for EDD – creation and maintenance and coordination
·  All future tasks related hybrid training. If the pilot is successful we are expecting more people to be cross trained. So more sessions of hybrid training have to be catered for in future.
·  Tasks related to Learning Need Analysis (assessment of feedback, finalization of training topics, identification of trainers for such topics, co-ordination, etc.)
·  Tasks related to acknowledgments in Learning Portal e.g. for new hires training, monthly knowledge updates, etc.
·  Designing training for managers and above, case managers and others under EDD and SRS
·  Possible tasks related to Learning Portal administration
·  Possible delivery of certain training topics for new hires / refresher training
·  Creating index of EDD training
·  Periodic review of EDD training material
·  Possible creation of training calendar for EDD training and MIS for all trainings conducted for EDD
·  Review and update office centric modules and incorporate them into global training as appropriate.
·  Explore the credit system for training modules
·  Manage the external certification for EDD and tracking. Arrangement of sponsorship agreement with candidates etc.
·  Prepares and documents requirements and detailed functional specifications for training/ content initiatives.
·  Ensures timely and successful implementation of training/content enhancements.
·  Clarifies content methodology issues and collection methodologies in collaboration with data operations.
·  Provides selective training to the data operations training group for content enhancements, collection tool modifications, and changes.
·  Identifies potential data collection process improvements and consults with data operations for possible implementation.
·  Ensures that training/content meets or exceeds quality metrics as defined by the methodology/client requirement.

Develops, maintains, updates and a centralized database of knowledge sources and disperses that through online portals.

Disperses knowledge and data sources; ensures the availability of relevant knowledge and data to all essential locations while working as the intranet content manager

·  Produces and circulates comprehensive update summaries
·  Conducts briefings for team colleagues as required.
·  Builds relationships with and engages in productive conversations with prospective data vendors, Government sources and research colleagues.
Liaises with other offices and colleagues in different locations to ensure training deliverables are consistent, up to date and fit or purpose.

Partners with colleagues in Legal and Compliance to resolve content or source challenges:

·  Develops any necessary follow-up training to support the Analyst community
Seeks opportunities to continuously improve Knowledge Management as a concept and service available to the business:

·  Supports and coaches team colleagues through individual challenges associated with e.g. research methodology, database availability, customer specifications
·  Briefs colleagues on new data sources, etc.
·  Coaches team colleagues to achieve high performance and buddies new colleague to support their familiarization, etc.
Identifies areas of potential automation to enhance quality, reduce operational risk and manage the implementation of internal data feeds

REPORTING AND RELATIONSHIPS:
The Knowledge Management and Training Specialist:

·  Reports to the Head of Knowledge Management
·  Builds productive relationships with clients, vendors and internal stakeholders
·  Works closely with all Risk Managed Service

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
(Knowledge, experience, skills and competencies)

Essential:

·  Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate evidence of the following:
·  Preferred experience of working in a knowledge management environment and delivering training
·  Significant understanding of e.g. research and service functions:
·  Well-developed research and analytical skills
·  Sophisticated internet search and sourcing skills
·  Reviewing skill sets
·  Sound knowledge of internet research e.g. effectiveness of search engines
·  Sound experience of work prioritization (reprioritization), project management and problem-solving
·  Good experience of process management, including process mapping
·  Excellent communications and presentation skills – written and spoken
·  Strong English Language skills
·  Sound knowledge of MS Office applications e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Desirable:
It is useful if candidates are able to demonstrate evidence of the following:

·  Experience of developing training materials
·  Experience of process improvement
·  Research domain experience
