MarkMonitor—the world leader in brand protection and a Thomson Reuters Intellectual Property & Science business—is looking for a Data Analyst Intern who will contribute to the successful support of our Anti-piracy clients through data quality analysis, report generation, and research activities.
More About the Position:
The Data Analyst Intern will be working with a team that is responsible for providing anti-piracy services for an exciting list of clients that include major television/motion picture studios, sports networks, book publishers and game companies. This position will utilize our best in class, proprietary piracy monitoring and enforcement technology while also ensuring the integrity of client delivered data. In addition, the Data Analyst Intern will perform anti-piracy research activities aimed at identifying current piracy trends.
Job Responsibilities:
· Use multiple technologies to detect, analyze, and remove infringing online content
· Coordinate with other team members to solve ad hoc requests
· Generate standard and customized reports
· Perform quality analysis to ensure data integrity
· Review client deliverables and data to ensure high level of quality and accuracy
· Formulate and effectively communicate data-driven recommendations
· Synthesize data into meaningful deliverables
· Research and identify current piracy trends
· Assist supervisor and team members as needed
Desired profile
Minimum Requirements:
· Currently pursuing a degree in Business or Computer Science
· Detail-oriented
· Strong problem solving skills
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
· Mid to Advanced level Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables) skills/knowledge
· Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Winning Requirements:
· Have basic programming skills;
· Have an understanding of methods and trends of Internet;
· Be passionate about film, TV, video games and music;
· Read and write fluently in foreign language;
· Have a working knowledge of DMCA and applicable copyright laws;
· Have a working knowledge of file-sharing technologies;
