thisislanguage.com is an exciting, new, education technology company in a strong market position experiencing a big growth phase, both in the UK and internationally.
Selling authentic language videos and online learning resources to schools, we are looking to add new clients to our portfolio of over 300 leading schools in the UK market.
The role:
A challenging and rewarding opportunity has opened for a new business sales executive to join our small, friendly team based in the heart of Oxford. We are looking for someone with an exceptional flair for sales, the maturity to approach and sell to teachers and the tenacity to generate new leads.
Reporting directly to the Business Development Manager, the successful candidate will inherit an existing bank of UK clients and will be expected to identify new UK sales opportunities through a variety of different channels including attending conferences, calling cold and hot leads and by email.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to be adaptable and organised to fit your availability around teachers acting as their main point of contact. You will be resilient and take rejection on the chin. Overall, you will need to be very personable and represent the company in a mature, professional and friendly manner.
Areas of responsibility:
- Establish, develop and maintain constructive business relationships with current and prospective schools.
- Demonstrate thisislanguage.com to teachers over the phone and in person to ensure they get to discover and enjoy all of its features.
- Attend conferences and language awareness days to present product.

Qualifications/Experience:
- Educated to degree level. Language degrees are particularly desirable.
- Experience of telesales is desirable.
- Experience of teaching is desirable as is an enthusiasm for language learning.
Salary: 22,000GBP plus performance related bonuses.
