Jungle Creations is a leading media house for the social age, solely focused on delivering high quality content to our audience of over 25 million. What started out as a Facebook page called Viral Thread has evolved into a multi-platform media company that generates over 3 billion video views, and 20 million unique users to our sites, each month.

Those numbers make us the 6th most viewed media property in the world. A reasonably impressive start, but in order to accelerate growth and ultimately become number one, we need the best people in the world to join us. A huge part of our success so far is creating and executing killer video content for our audience. That’s where you come in.

The Job:

You’ll be joining a fast-growing video team and will be tasked with digging up incredible content each day that’s interesting, entertaining, educational and inspirational. We want someone who can then connect with the viewers using creative writing and storytelling by piecing dynamic video content together. Our goal is to connect with viewers emotionally and find the stories that truly impact their lives. Solid ping-pong ability is preferred but not essential.

You’ll have the opportunity to get creative and produce the kind of content that appeals to you. Be it mini-docs, longer-form social change videos, captions, movie parodies, compilations or more informative news videos – anything that has viral potential!

Whilst this is an initial three month internship, if you really impress us we’re looking to expand our team permanently. We don’t require any professional experience, but proven examples of video editing and production are necessary, as well as a 2:1 degree – a good grasp of video editing software is essential. Please provide a link to your portfolio or showreel.

You will be responsible for:

Editing, producing and scripting entertaining videos for our audience
Sourcing videos on the internet - you need have an eye for content the world needs to see
Proofing content before it goes live and making sure it meets house style
Ensuring you keep personal deadlines and that videos are delivered on time
Reaching out to video owners and seeking licensing permission
Contributing original filming ideas for in-house and out of office production.

Desired profile

2:1 degree as well as a portfolio with proven examples of video editing and production is essential.
