This delightful 16th Century Town House Hotel with a fascinating history, based in the heart of the Historic Town of Lewes, nestled in the beautiful South Downs is now looking to recruit a Receptionist. Pelham House has 31 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a stylish fine dining restaurant, and 5 function rooms that can service anything from 2 people up to 180, offering a stylish breakfast, lunch, afternoon cream tea and evening meal.

Pelham House Hotel offers the full range of services, but in its own unique way. The hotel is proud to boast about the standard of product if offers. Its sources food and drink from local suppliers wherever possible, making it stand out from the crowd. Offering simple and stylish food, in the fine dining restaurant for up to 60 covers, in the Garden Room or on the Terrace.

The Job Role

Will involve dealing with every aspect of the customer from the point they check in at the hotel to the point of departure.

You will learn to check people in and out, deal with individual requests from customers, give them information on the surrounding areas and generally make their stay are memorable as possible

• You will be passionate about providing great service, and looking after the guest needs.
• You must be flexible and be able to work a combination of shifts including weekend working on a rota.
• Has fantastic attention to detail- There is lots to learn in this role if you are going to be great at your job.
• A good level of spoken English is needed- In order to converse with the customers.
• We can train you in Reception as long as you have the positive attitude needed for the role.
