Job description
Residential Child Care Officers - Edinburgh and the Lothian's 14.43 p/h + additional shift enhancements payable for weekend, waking night and twilight shifts.
The Social Care Community Partnership is seeking to recruit a number of experienced Residential Child Care Officers for both in-house and external clients that we deliver a Residential Child Care Service for on a sessional or locum basis. We are looking for exceptional staff with a strong value base and committment to delivering the best possible care and support to children and young people who are within looked after Local Authority Care or require respite or crisis care and support, some of which can be required at very short notice. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR CANDIDATES WITH FULL-TIME AVAILABILITY.
EXPERIENCE
Ideally applicants should have at least 1 years UK experience of working within a children and young peoples residential care or support setting and have a proven ability and committment to deliver best outcomes.
Applicants MUST possess a relevant qualification in Social Care e.g. SVQ 3 in Health and Social Care, DipSW, CCETSW, Community Education, NNEB, Degree or Masters in Social Work and be willing to arrange a face to face appointment and interview to register with one of our Consultants or Care Managers at our office based in Loanhead.
The successful applicants must also have current registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) , and possess a recent PVG Scheme Record through Disclosure Scotland, this can be applied for through our agency. Candidates with relevant qualifications and experience can also apply for SSSC registration with endorsement through our agency.
Applicants with necessary experience and qualifications can also register with the SSSC as a Residential Child Care Officer through our organisation.
Further qualifications/training in Child Protection, CALMS training and a working knowledge of Getting It Right For Every Child (GIRFEC) is highly desirable.
