An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Events & Marketing Assistant to work in our waterbeach Cambridge office helping to delivery and market our events. There is also the possibility to work from home.
We are looking for an exceptional candidate, who could be a recent graduate hoping to take their first step into the networking and events industry. It’s a hands-on company and the successful candidate will be prepared to take on tasks at a variety of levels. You don’t need any previous event management or marketing experience, but you will need to be motivated, enthusiastic and have an eagerness to succeed, be business-minded, creative, and forward-thinking; one who takes great pride in the end result of their work. We are a small but dedicated team, offering a friendly and professional working environment. We work hard and support each other, which can sometimes mean taking on tasks outside your usual remit, but this can open up opportunities.
You will work on a 16 week work experience/ Internship Program helping with various aspects of our business; you will work with our events team in delivering events and managing our websites, to managing online marketing campaigns for varied events in Q1 of 2020 and our annual festival with 300 attendees.

Although this is an unpaid internship, you’ll receive experience with one of the leading networking and events companies in Cambridge and London, you will also have access to free annual membership to our network worth £300. In return, you will be first in line for a permanent position- full or part-time, earning around 16K to 20K DEO and performance.
Other benefits consist of creating contacts and getting your foot into the door.
PS: The role is Full-time but Part-time could be considered.
Duties will include:
• Assisting in the planning, organisation and execution of a full annual event calendar across our venue portfolio
• Booking locations, equipment, venues, and liaising with external agencies to assist in the creation of the event
• Working closely with our in-house creative team to deliver exceptional concepts and visuals
• Manage web and social media channels
• Create blog posts
• Maintain CRM and database up to date
• Setup biweekly email marketing campaigns
Desired profile
Knowledge, Skills, & Experience:
• Creative individuals with a passion for the events industry.
• Experience of working on pop up events and live event festivals is preferred
• Willingness to bring a fresh wave of ideas to the table
• Great organisational skills with impeccable attention to detail
• First class communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
