Job description

Our client, a successful Design and Project Management Company based in Halifax are looking to recruit a Magento Web Developer to help develop and manage the company’s website & e-commerce store.

The role

To maintain and develop our online presence ensuring that the customer experience is enhanced and developed further, both front and back end functionality. This will include development, optimising and customising a Magneto E-commerce platform with significate product listings.

Key Skills/ Knowledge/ Experience

Maintain and upgrade Magento and WordPress websites (Back and front end).
Modify Magento themes and build custom plugins
Work with Magento features such as multiple stores and authentication
Cross browser testing and implementation (including responsive design)
Manage versioning of web assets such as graphics, (X)HTML templates, JavaScript and style sheets in a repository
Responsible for ensuring that the sites are optimised for performance and conversion
Ability to produce clean "code" conforming to best practices
Ensure that the relevant documentation and version controls are in place
Extensive Magento setup - both front and backend (developer)
Ability to identify and fix any bugs whilst optimizing the code
Ability to test your work thoroughly and manage UAT
