DESCRIPTION:

The London Events Planners are looking for a new Events Specialist to join their
team to help boost brand engagement, bring and manage a calendar of events to
life, and expand on their creative skills. The role covers a wide range of
responsibilities which makes it perfect for those looking to gain an insight into Event
and Business Management.

Our events range from managing regular internal experiences such as Makeup
Masterclasses for our partner company Le Rouge De La Vie, to private events for
clients ranging from Baby Showers to Weddings, as well as external corporate
celebrations such as Retirement and Christmas Parties.

EVENT SPECIALIST ROLE

Includes but not limited to;

• Acquiring new business
• Managing a calendar of events
• Aiding in day to day running of the company
• Managing social media accounts
• Recruiting new business
• Responding to emails and phone enquires
• Providing quotes to clients on request
• Providing content for the website such as blog posts
• Internal communications

The role is part-time with flexible working hours. Interns will be required to work an
average of 24 hours per week, which they would decide upon and log into
company calendar. We offer flexible working hours as in the run up to events the
intern may be required to work for more hours, and less during quieter periods.

There will be one day a week where the Intern will be required to join the rest of the
team in the office in High Street Kensington and present their work for the week
(usually on a Wednesday) to their line manager. During this time the team work on
group projects and discuss the progress of their Business Development Tasks.
When working in the office or on site at events the interns will be remunerated for
their travel. At the end of the 3 month probation period the intern may be presented
with the opportunity for a freelance paid position. This is subject to targets being
met in the first 3 months. Payments will be discussed on a case by case basis at
the discretion of their line manager.

EVENT MANAGEMENT

The position would involve comprehensive research, creative planning and
visualisation, budgeting, invoicing, advertising (where necessary) and guest
management in the run up to scheduled events. Following on from this we would
expect our Specialist to play a vital role on the day, by overseeing an itinerary,
managing staff, assisting guests and clients and providing essential support. After
the event our Specialist will provide feedback and guest support where necessary.

Desired profile

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Event Specialist role includes speaking to clients via phone and email, so it is
imperative that applicants are fluent in English, both spoken and written. The
applicant should also have a good understanding of Mathematics as they will be
required to create and keep to budgets.

Part of the role will require the Event Specialist to identify markets and create
opportunities for business growth through new clients and business proposals, so
ideally the applicant would have good marketing, advertising and business
development knowledge.

As the position requires the applicant to work from home, they should have access
to a working laptop with an internet connection.
The applicants should be driven, creative, self-motivated and passionate about all
things events.
