Position Overview:

Sensory evaluations are a critical tool to verify and guarantee the quality of our existing products and to screen and validate innovations in different areas.
Therefore: - sensory testing has to be managed effectively, in a timely manner and consistent with Company Requirements and good laboratory practices-the sensory component of monitoring programs, packaging authorization, ingredient substitution, for products and ingredients need to be executed within agreed time frame, ensuring value adding data - sensory analysis provide critical input in IMCR/complaint analysis and production troubleshooting- sensory QA supports Business Units and Bottling Operations by providing expertise, training tools and facilitates decision making- sensory actively contributes to the success of product, packaging and sales equipment innovations- a pool of sensory panellists is maintained, monitored and motivated- Sensory QA plays an active role in projects to enhance global sensory capability

Job responsibilities:
Be responsible for effective operation of the sensory laboratory
Lead the organization, coordination and execution of all different types of sensory analysis related to consumer complaint/IMCRs, troubleshooting, and packaging within agreed time schedules.
This includes test set-up, critical result review, initiation of additional analysis in sensory or within other technical areas (analytical, micro, #) and reporting of the sensory results.
Lead the technical component of sensory to guarantee the correct set-up of ad hoc sensory requests
Provide sensory expertise to set-up the sensory component of validation protocols for new technologies, P&SE innovations studies, studies related to product-package interaction, product degradation, etc
Be responsible for the sensory component (testing and reporting) of the water monitoring program, including optimization of the workflow and communication into the water monitoring program team.# Responsible for the development, the organization and execution of sensory trainings of internal and external panels (eg bottling operations).
Lead the EQC side of the implementation of the Global Sensory Program for Bottling Operations.
Be responsible for the sensory panels: recruitment/development of general and expert panellists from internal associate staff, monitor and stir panel performance, continuous motivation by reward system (maintaining existing system as well as new initiatives for panel motivation).
Participate in the global sensory network and global projects for enhancing global sensory capability (eg KORE).
Liaise with flavour houses to find and optimize off-note reference materials
Act as a strong team player to ensure successful team operations
This function may include the role of technical manager (Quality System role as defined in ISO-17025)

Experience:
Laboratory experience for at least 3 years with experience in sensory testing for Quality Assurance
Travel: 5% - 10%
Education: Degree/Engineer from Technical High School (Science subject - Chemistry, Biology, Food Science or other) or University
Language Skills: Fluency in English essential; other European languages an advantage.
