DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:
Position Overview:
The primary reasonability of the analyst is to acquire, manage and apply information to enable the RGM Strategy function to identify and prioritize multi-year commercial opportunities
Primary Responsibilities
· Own compilation, integration and management of large numeric and qualitative data sets encompassing sales, financial, economic, competitive and consumer information
· Provide analytic support to managers to identify business opportunities, assess the competitive market place, build pricing capability and conduct long range modeling
· Conduct desk research in support of same topics
· With direction, create Excel-based models for business planning purposes
· Update standardized information packets for CCNA teams and US distributors for multi-year planning
· Build and maintain routine Excel-based performance reports
· Occasionally lead discrete analyses
· Build presentations for project leads
Education
Bachelor’s degree with a quantitative emphasis such as economics, engineering, finance mathematics, computer science
Experience
· Two years performing data analysis in a professional environment
· Experience with sales, financial and consumer data preferred
Skills
· Capability to compile, organize and quality control large data sets
· Ability to swiftly learn new software and databases
· Creative in search of data and problem solving
· Ability to work well with others including willingness to take direction
· Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn
· Exceptional attention to detail
· Proficient verbal and written communication skills
· Preferably some familiarity with business financial concepts and statements
Technical
· Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
· Ability to mine complex data sets
REPORTING STRUCTURE
· On a day to day basis, analyst supports three managers in their respective areas of responsibility (opportunity mapping, market place intelligence, price science / multi-year revenue growth modeling) and formally reports to one of the three
· Reporting manager is responsible for ensuring clear and practicable priorities are established and adhered to and conducting performance management and development processes
· The three managers are collectively responsible for agreeing priorities, structuring workflow and providing appropriate levels of support
